It was a first guitar and I was a complete beginner when I bought it, so I didn’t know what to look for. The frets too, needed quite a bit of work to make it decently playable. The switch was very poor quality and had to be replaced after a very short time. I’m not in any way knocking Epiphone, it was a nice guitar, excellent finish, incredible value for money etc, but there were some issues that were probably related to the price. Having said that, I had an Epi 339 a while back. I can think of a few reasons why Gibson wouldn’t want them to them do that with the Dot!
